Kala chana recipe | Kala chana masala | Chickpea Curry Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- Chickpea - 250g
 - Tomato - 1
 - Onion - 1
 - Gingergarlic Paste - 1 tbsp
 - Turmeric Powder - ½ tbspn
 - Red Chili Powder - ½ tbspn
 - Curry (Sabji)Masala - 1 tbsp
 - Garam Masala - ½ teasp
 - Salt - 1 tbsp
 - Water - 400 ml
 - Oil - 2 tbsp
 
- WHOLE SPICES
 
- Bay leaf - 1
 - Black Cardamom - 1
 - Cinnamon - 1 Piece
 - Cumin - 1 teasp
 
PREPARATION METHOD
- Soak chickpea for 5 to 6 hour or overnight
 - Heat a pressure cooker
 - Pour oil , add whole spices in it
 - Saute for few seconds
 - Add chopped onion, fry till golden brown
 - Take a bowl put all dry masala except garam masala
 - Add ½ cup of water , Make a paste
 - Now add this paste in cooker
 - Saute for 1 min on low flame
 - Add gingergarlic paste, fry for a minute
 - Add tomato ,cook for 2 min on lowflame
 - Now add soaked chickpea and water , mix everything well
 - Cook for 6 whistles
 - Now turn off flame ,cool for 5 mins
 - Open lid ,Mash slightly with the help of masher
 - Add garam masala and coriander leaves
 - If your gravy is thick then add ½ cup of water
 - Cook for another 1 min
 - Now ready to serve masala chickpea
